Because I went out last night, no-ones out tonight, I get paid next week and the weather is s**t. I quite fancy waking up sober on a Sunday morning and going for a run or something n all!

I'm a single-parent, have got a beautiful 6 year old daughter, and I'm busy collaborating on a new album for a London based band

I take it you're from Aberyswyth then Cpt?
I went there a couple of years back to see Rob Brydon and we went to some club on the pier and there was this lad going round dancing with a cap on backwards and a chain around his neck, seemed like a local idiot who everyone knew, do you know who I'm on about?

I've seen this guy out in the same club. :laughingabit: :laughingabit: :laughingabit:
He came and danced in front of me and a group of my friends, clearly very drunk and oddly dressed. I just looked at my friends then turned away laughing. Very strange moment to be honest with you. Some of the local women here though are gorgeous, it has to be said.

I think I did a gig once in Aberystwyth about 4 years ago. Is there a venue called 'The Arena' there?

I don't really play anything LOL, I'm more of an ideas based kind of person. However, I can find my way around the guitar, bass, keyboards, drums and vocal melody etc, alas without any great proficiency on any particular instrument. So I am sort of a musical catalyst, if you know what I mean. This is my first real venture into what has always been a hobby of mine. The particular project I am working on is a post-punk kind of thing, think The Cure 'Pornography' and 'Disintegration' era, plus Joy Division, all with a modern twist.

Love the Aber connection, went to Uni there - Pier Pressure is one of the marque destination venues in the world still surely?
Is it still 'reload' on a Wednesday at the Union? Jump Around followed by Place Your hands followed by a Thousand Trees - every week for three years of term!!!

Not that I know of. The only two clubs are Why Not and Pier Pressure.

Because I'm a computer idiot I still can't work out how to put pictures on here (even with the Colonels tutorial), anyway if you click on the link below it is a picture of that idiot lad I was on about earlier. The one on the left btw (and the other one isn't me).

Come to think of it, it was more like 6 years ago and might not have been Aberystwyth.

Spot on.
Reload on Wednesday's, Mad Fridays, then Slutty Tuesdays which is a student given name for Vodka Tuesdays (cheap vodka deals) when everyone goes out and there's loads of locals out that night too.
Im not a fan of Pier myself. I prefer it to the other night club but I'm happier having flat pre drinking sessions and then going on a pub crawl.
One of the last nights in the union they had Peter Andre - Mysterious Girl playing. :laughingabit:

Wasn't him however it was a guy like him but younger. There are some very crazy people up here on night outs. I've been on a few nights out where I can't remember a thing the next morning. :laughingabit:

Day job is a software company with my brother developing embedded systems for micro process controllers, although I did have a web design business in the mid-90's :P
Good stuff, sounds pretty, pretty good. Never really listened to the Cure, although I have liked everything I've heard from them, they're on my list of bands I need to listen to, what album would you recommend I start with? Love Joy Division.

I like their darker stuff, Disintegration obviously. Then I'd go for Head On The Door and Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me.
This one blows my mind ... Tip: play in full-screen HD
