Great chance for Mason I think. Failing that we've still got Bellamy or Velikonja for that position. Still bad news though.

Feel very sorry for the lad; he'd made a big impact.

Was looking good too.
He won both the free-kick and penalty on Sat that led to the goals.

That pretty shite. Still, this is exactly why MM has built a squad of quality players.

That is terrible really terrible news, whichever way you cut it with effective rotation that cuts our goal scoring capacity... Silver lining Mason will get more starts = more experience = more goals

Exactly, the positive is we should see more of our younger potential starlets like Mason and Velikonja. And while it IS a blow, it's also worth pointing out we're on a 9 from 9 streak even when he is yet to score a single goal for the club. His presence has made an impact yes, but I feel our midfield is so strong you could put anyone you like up front and they could still tap a few in. It's a blow, especially since he's potentially one of our biggest signings, but its not the end of the world.

I've always assumed that given the nature of the injury which, let's not forget, used to be career ending; and given the type of player he is, fingers crossed he comes back-100%
How many games for us? Three? Look at the impact he made.
Get well soon.

It's precisely for this sort of situation that we've assembled the squad that we have. We've still got plenty of quality up front. Yes it's a blow, but I think it would have been far more serious if it had happened to, say, Mark Hudson.
