On the subject of the 4-5-1, I don't get why so many were criticising it before the game. Hull played with the same formation against Hull a few days ago and scored four goals in the first half. It's essentially a 4-3-3 on the break and a 4-5-1 when defending. Perfect formation away from home IMO.

The reason I was feeling a bit apprehensive was because Malky did the same last season. He started 4-4-2 and we got the season off to a flyer, and then one day, he decided to changed to 4-5-1 (presumably for tactical reasons) and we ended up drawing a lot and Miller became totally un-effective. I was a little scared of a bit of de ja vu and to be honest, I'm still a little nervous about the formation now.

But, as I said to you yesterday, I am delighted to be wrong! Let's hope I stay wrong
