What do you guys use and give us a rating?
I'm going with Virgin 30MB/s for my next contract.
Been with Virgin for years and it's been fine 99% of the time. Had occasional modem faults and dealing with their customer service is a chore but they're pretty good. Got 60Meg at the mo and it runs like a dream, also runs the xbox downstairs nicely.

Oh yes
Was with them for a year and a half I called them 5 times about the connection speed.
I was told its running fine until a friend checked the speed online and I was running at half a meg called them back and they said the package your on is upto 8 meg not 8 meg and aslong as im getting a connection there isnt much they can do,I had to wait for google to load ffs.
Virgin media is now in my street and I have the full package for half the price and Ive got 30 meg download and its fast as fck and virgins channels dont go off when its p*ssing down happy days

The Virgin 30mb/s serves 103% of download capacity over 24 hours according to OFCOM, so you get a faster speed than advertised!

Virgin are upgrading all internet connections to a minimum 60mb/s in 2013

SKY LLU service is superb, if your on Sky BT Broadband aka Sky Connect its shocking.
Shame Virgin don't cable up the whole of the UK, they would make a killing.

BT Unlimited.
Its by far the best but expensive but we're splitting it in a student house so not too bad. Its so fast, much faster than Virgin Media.
Lower down the spectrum Virgin > BT.
Higher end BT > Virgin.

I was with them for about a year. Signed up for everything. One spring morning I started having difficulty connecting. Phoned them up and the standard procedure ensued. Seemed to work the first few times till one day I couldn't get a connection at all. Once again I had to go through the familiar routine of switching everything off then starting up and going through the by now familiar procedure until at last they acknowledged that the problem didn't lie with my computer or router. So what next?................
"Oh, you'll have to call out a telephone engineer"
"What? me???"
"Err yes, there's nothing we can do"
"We're not prepared to call out an engineer to determine the problem"
"OK In that case there's no point in me paying for a service you can't provide. I want to cancel my subscription"
"All right I'll put you through to the appropriate department"
Someone answers the phone.
"Sorry to hear you want to cancel your subscription but let us try one more time" and the same routine comes out.
I tell them I've been through all this umpteen times with no result.
"yes I know that but lets just go through it one more time"
after some dubious cut offs I get back to them and they want to go through the same word for word procedure.
I just told them to cancel every subscription I had with them and that I was going back to the people who had the engineers who could check their own lines. They then offered me half price subscriptions for six months but I said I couldn't communicate with people who could only speak from a pre-scripted sheet and had no understanding of what I was complaining about.
