After Hulk displayed several 'incredible' performances for Brazil in the Olympics, Porto are under heavy pressure from the European giants to give away his signature. Their response? You can have him, as long as you pay (sit back for this)
100 MILLION EUROS.
To put that in perspective, PSG have ran around buying some of the bet talent in football, and have acquired I think 6 or 7 names, for about 150 million total. And each and every one of them was massively, massively overvalued.

Almost certainly true considering his talent, but the fact they've had to make his buyout clause that high to keep PSG, Man City and the like away indicates just how ridiculous this can apparently get. I remember not too long ago Ronaldo was valued at around 40 million and that was considered too expensive for any club to try and steal him. Now apparently you have to demand twice that amount to keep people away. What chance do clubs that can't afford these figures have at achieving success?

Remember when Man City nearly bought Kaka for £100m? Now that was funny
Football has been corrupt, insanely money driven and repulsive for ages. But it's still comfortably the best sport in the world. Not quite the Death of Football yet.
