In a way he is right, but they had no choice but to bring the administrators in and although I'm sure their not cheap I bet they aren't taking £36,000 a week out of the club like Ben Haim. Although I do understand the player has been contracted to earn that wage, he could easily leave and probably find another club willing a pay around half of that which is still more than enough. I think he's just being greedy IMO.
