This season, not including Craig Bellamy, we have signed five new players and have spent at least 5.5 million pounds (couple of fees undisclosed so real figure is higher).
In the whole 11/12 season, we signed or loaned 18 players spending 1.94 million roughly.
10/11, 21 players, but only 110,000 expenditure
09/10, 9 players and a roughly 6.6 million spend.
So as you can see over the last four seasons we are likely to spend more than we have in a while, potentially overtaking 09's figure in only one period. While our haul of players is lower than some years, many were loan signings and a surprising amount of free transfers to fill the squad.
