Sod him I say. He's hanging out for a better deal if thats the case. Malky should just tell him to get lost and go and buy a player with the same attitude as Bo-Kyung. Anyone who truly wants to play for us would want a deal sorted before the Olympics and start planning and conditioning for the season ahead. With the money we could save on Bellamy we could get in a quality youngster.
Bellamy is proven I agree but if his legs go in the first few weeks we could be left with a cripple all season on a big wage. If his heart was in it and he wanted the deal done and dusted then fair enough but I hope Malky dont hold out for him.

I totally agree but I'm not sure if I quite believe this story yet. Maybe being in denial but I still think it'll be done and dusted in the next week or so before the Olympics.

Yeah I heard that. I don't mind too much if he helps us progress into the Premiership then we sell him for a nice big profit.

I like that he see's us a stepping stone. That means hes going to perform. If he doesn't perform for us there is no chance in hell he'll get noticed by top clubs. To get noticed by top clubs he'll have to play a blinder like Taarabt did when QPR went up. If he plays at that level then its likely that we'll make playoffs at least.
If he doesn't perform that well then he wont get noticed and he'll stay with us.
Also think if we go up this year he wont leave. He'll stay as he'll be the one being used by Tan to market us once we're in the League. He'll probably get a promotion bonus as well as an increased wage offer and be the head of all our commercial ventures in Asia. Then maybe after a good season in the premiership, if we make it, he'll move on to another club.
I like his honesty and ambition truth be told. He's not going to use our club as a stepping stone backwards is he so the only way he can get a transfer to a bigger club is by performing very well. I have no problem with that.

Considering the modern day transfer market also, if it does materialize that he is good enough to play at one of the top clubs in the Prem/Bundesliga/La Liga then we could be asking for prices of £10m .. £15m .. dare I say £20m! That coming from a £2.5+ investment isn't too bad business.

I take it you've never partaken of stir fried spaniel with coconut milk? I had to loosen my belt. I would have loved the boiled german shepherd and onion soup but I was stuffed.

He's 33 now, so he may fade quite rapidly IMO.
Unless he can pull off a Giggs move and

Glad to see the forum coming on my side of the fence now. I said ages ago is rather two Kyungs to Bellamy.
An re the Kyung argument, is it really that surprising he doesn't want to stick with Cardiff for possibly 15 years. What sort of ambition is that if you were to happily say, when you're still virtually a teenager, that you're happy staying with a championship side for the rest of your life? All young footballers like him should aspire to man United, Barcelona, Real Madrid, not mediocrity. And as redistheway rightly said, of he wants to make it there he's going to have to seriously impress, and that will only help us.
