An important game tonight

First topic message reminder :
I just get a sense that tonight is a going to a pivotal game... opponents that are, on paper, on slightly weaker than us, a team though that serious promotion contenders should expect to beat.
For the last few seasons we have always seemed to struggle with the mid-to-low table teams and when I look back at the points tally at the end of the season, it's dropped points against the likes of Preston that are so disappointing.
Now I know Preston are a solid team, hard to beat and they've had a good start to the season, but I feel we need to be beating these types of teams, as well as the favoured clubs, to really give it a go this year.
If we win tonight, we'll be putting down a real marker.

1 down, free kick apparently. 45 minutes plus injury time to go and we have a habit of scoring late

...although we are unlikely to get anything from the game at 3 down! Sounds like Etheridge has had a bit of a 'mare. I think Warnock may be keen to see Camp make his debut. Talksh*te however have said Preston are well on top just to rub a bit of salt into the wound!

Etheridge -
First goal wasn't a free kick but he should have saved it.
Second goal - beaten at near post.
Third goal - miskicked a clearance when closed down by a player who was yards offside. Great first time shot but it looked as if he might have saved that as well.

Sheff Wed have won a few on the bounce now after a slow start.
I think Manga, Bryson and Richards need to come in and possibly Ward for Zohore as well

If we can get maybe 4 points over the next two, things will still be on track
I think it will be fine, Neil just needs to mix it up by giving a few of the newer guys a run

I'm surprised by the performance, but sounds like a "bad day at the office".
Rather fortunately, I wasn't able to see the game, instead enjoying a very pleasant meal in the pub in the village where Don Murray was born.

Very open assessment by NW on WO this morning about not changing a winning team, even if they were knackered.

The Duffus Inn?
Looks like Ward is going to shake things up. I think it's been an excellent start by players like Loïc Damour who has come from a lower level and with someone like Bryson waiting it makes sense to give people a rest
