I've spoken to Rhys about a few suggestions to get other people interesting to make sure the forum appeals to all audiences.
A few suggestions so far have been made;
1) An off topic area
2) A gaming area as we know a lot of City fans play FIFA and other games
3) A politics area which would keep political discussion away from the footy discussion
4) An OFFICIAL CLUB STATEMENT section that is kept tidy and organised when the club releases statements. Would also mean that if a statement is needed in the future its easy to sort through and find it.
Any other suggestions from other forum members?
Lets help the admins make this the best Cardiff forum there is.

I reckon it's best to keep it all in one forum, that was the beauty of CCMB, it was fast moving and all in one place, if you didn't like a topic then you just didn't click in there.
I think it's a mistake that lots of new forums make to split up into lots of different subjects especially when we've only just got going and don't have a lot of members yet.
The Club statement section might be a good idea though.
EDIT: As an example of what I mean, take a look at the CCMB big threads. The most popular topics end up there because they generate so many posts but as soon as they get moved from the main board into the Big Thread section, they die off immediately because nobody goes in there from the main board.
We have to keep it all in one place if only for the first few months until we get going with more members.
