West Brom are lining up a bid for Whitts

We all know what Malky's reaction will be but do you think there will be any chance that Whitts will want to speak with them?

Personally I think that Whitts is a very clever lad - he knows that he is the star of our team - why would he want to leave for the PL where he'll likely be warming the bench & facing a relegation battle instead enjoying a promotion challenge with us? I think this story will end with a big fat no.

Whittingham will never leave Cardiff. FACT. (Not strictly true, but imo.)
Though thinking about it...Whittingham had been with us four and a half years, he is 27 - he might be want another shot at the PL?

He always seems very settled here but isn't he from that part of the world?
Returning home to the Premiership might be attractive to him.

I get the feeling that he's happy here and that money isn't everything for him. He's not the playboy type attracting adverse publicity and as long as he feels he's being paid fairly the bright lights of the bigger cities hold no attraction for him.

He's settled in the area, a star man in a growing club and is loved by the fans, why move? Oh and he'll be playing in red next season too, what more can a man wish for?

He'd be stupid to leave IMO he'll only end up playing half the games he will here, if that. If he wants a crack at the Prem he's better off staying with us so he can be a crucial part to the team which will inevitably mean that he will perform to the best of his ability rather than go to a club who might not utilise him the way we do.
It's reasons like this, why players for Norwich and Swansea look better because they are utilised within a team, and each person knows their role, which will therefore get the best out of them but showing the abilities and playing against their flaws. Too many Premiership clubs buy players and use them in the wrong positions. E.g. If I remember rightly, Billy Davies tried using Earnshaw as a winger with Derby, no wonder they finished with the lowest points tally in Premiership history.

Irreplaceable.
I can’t think of another player in the Championship who offers the same range of passing, creativity and goal scoring.
If he had another yard of pace/acceleration he would already be in the Premier League.

IF we wanted to sell him, now is actually the perfect time, as his value will now start to drop over the coming seasons ...

If he went to West Brom, could he still be a moderator on this board?
