How Many fans does the city acctually have?

After posting on another thread earlier I mentioned something about us having 25k+ fans... Then it dawned on me surely its got to be double that at least? How many fans does the city acctually have?

A complete guess - but if you include every fan, considering that we have no problem filling wembley, plus all the exiles home & abroad, we must be 100,000+ would be my guess.

Although at the end of this season, maybe we can add another 3 million Asian fans? Wink

well theres different types of fans. theres the ones who go regular, the ones who go sometimes, the ones who go to 1 or 2 games per season and the armchair fans who don't go at all. add them all up and it will probably top 100k.

It would be useful if the club publicised how many different people on their database attended matches last season.
Based on nothing more than guesswork I reckon it's no more than about 35,000.

Surely more than 35k? I was thinking more around 50/60? Loads of "fans" we're left without tickets for wembley?

The funny thing is, so many of these people who are claiming over a MB that they wont ever come watch us whilst playing in red, could so easily still go whilst claiming not to be, and who would know? Most posters on MB's are merely strangers to others with only one thing in common, Cardiff City.

I am genetically red / blue colour blind, I am normally easily discernible at city games as Crytal Palace are completely invisible to me which prompts to question fans sitting near me "where are they"

It is said we have over 250,000 fans in Cardiff and the Valleys which makes sense as a few years ago when S4C were showing a dire FAW Premier Cup game there were over 85,000 viewers and when we played Brizzle in the FACup there were over 500,000 watching.
