Er, he's decent going forward but defence isn't his strongest area. I think they may have assumed that as he has played at a decent level he's a good defender?!

Never seemed anything more than a squad player to me but you're right, could flourish across the border (well, two borders).

Such a strange one. Really impressive on his debut away at Northampton five years or so back, featured in a load of games in the PL and was expected to thrive upon our relegation. We are blessed with plenty of full-backs and he was never going to get a look-in in the end. Fingers crossed he can kick on in the next year or so.

I always rated him as an attacking full-back and when he started our first Prem game against West Ham I thought he would be a City fixture for the foreseeable future, but it hasn't worked out for him
