Could turn out the best in the football league.

Ah, NML. I see that you have posted this on MM's board as well!

I was more doubtful about Damour, playing lower league French football. At least NML knew about the physicality of the EFL.

Damour looks like he may just be a bit of a gem, in a time when you see clubs picking off established and over hyped players it's a real pleasure to see lower league and foreign players with not footprint in the champions given a chance and succeeding.

I was thinking about this the other day, after Warnock retires, surely it would be a smart move by the club to keep him on in a semi-retired, less stressful "advisory" role? He wouldn't have to travel or even work full time.
The man clearly has a wealth of knowledge after 50-odd years in the game, clearly has an eye for a player with potential and a ton of useful connections that could only come in handy for a club like ours.

I think he wants a role like that and is probably going to get one

I'm pretty sure he dropped a hint about being able to carry on in some capacity a little while ago ............. but would that be workable with a new man coming in? That said, NW has surprised me at every turn since he arrived, so anything is possible.

Would love to keep him on at CCS, but think there's more chance of it being at a local club like Plymouth,

Let's wait for Newcastle to get relegated again and sign Benitez if Warnock retires if/when we get promoted. Could do worse!
