It looks like our record of letting good players go for little or no money continues. As we continue our search for a new keeper, Tom Heaton is training with the England squad, alongside...Luke O'Reilly. Released at the end of the 2015/16 season by City, he is now 20 and was called up to train with the full England squad as he is so highly rated

The Club has signed and released numerous players over the past decade who have never been given a chance to prove themselves. It surprises me that players actually want to join the Club after the way some have been treated. Hopefully with Warnock that will change.

I think Warnock is the only person that we have had in charge in living memory that has a clear idea of what he wants and needs from an academy and what structure is needed to achieve this. Prior to Neil, we released the good players far too young and held on to the ones that had gone stale or wouldn't make it at Championship and above. Our u23 team was so bloated it served no purpose, now players like Cameron Coxe, Mark Harris and Rhys Abbruzzese have a genuine chance of progressing and developing with us rather than decomposing in our reserves or being released and getting game time elsewhere

In fact...City have drawn with and beaten Inter Milan, Ajax and Villarreal's academy sides in a tournament this month. Admittedly it was at under 10 and under 11 level, but it still sounds good?
