Predictions for the new season?

Local journos of the 24 Championship clubs have predicted teams for promotion and relegation this season.  Derby & Boro' clear favourites to go up, but no mention at either end for Cardiff City.

What do you think?

My predictions for promotion - Middlesboro', Derby, Ipswich.  For relegation - MK Dons, Preston, Rotherham.

Mid table at best.

Teamto look out for apart from those in the mix last season, Fulham.

I really ain't sure, the big question is will slade in charge of Cardiff come end of season?

Relegated Rotherham, Hull and Charlton
Cardiff 6-12th
Not sure how Slade will get on, First season in a long time I haven't had a bet on Cardiff

Although I have had a fiver e-way on Joe Mason to be top scorer at 50-1

Not having much better to do this evening, I have looked back to this time last year.

The most sad thing so far as I am concerned is that we have only created six pages of topics in 12 months, but hopefully that apathy will be a thing of the past, come the revolution that is Paul Trollope.

Nevertheless, if is interesting to see what we thought might happen at the start of last season.

A special mention for our Weegee betting guru, who tipped Hull for relegation and Joe Mason for top scorer..........

New signings so far are not very inspiring.

Similar to last season, albeit with a more entertaining style of play. 8th.

Although there may be more signings, as things stand, I reckon we are looking at play-offs at best.

With the new system and three potentially good wingbacks, I think we already have the pace and width that we have missed in the past.  

However, I am not convinced that Zohore and Freddie G have the experience or quality to lead the line.  It's not that important that they score a bucket-load of goals themselves, but they must be able to hold the ball and link up with the midfielders.

I look at both and Rudy Gestede comes to mind.......good honest players, but not top drawer......

Ian Holloway's prediction, which I agree with bar one or two difference.

Villa owner Tony Xia wasn't happy, calling Holloway a 'failed player, manager and pundit'.

Might as well end the season now.

Slightly more optimistic than Cleeve but then again who isn't! 9th for me. Would be higher if we didn't have poundshop strikers. Still think Le Fondre might be the best on the books with the right service but that ship has sailed.
