If even argue Felix Magath. Ultimately failed yes, but he got a p*ss poor side actually playing pretty good football. If he had a full season they would of stayed up no problem.

I don't recall a single suggestion for Pulis or Poyet. In fact, especially Pulis, and acknowledging his excellent work at Palace, I would suggest that would not have been a popular appointment? In other words, "wise after the event" springs to mind.

I led a one-man campaign on here for the installation of Poyet throughout last summer............it became a standing joke that I had kidnapped him, tied him up and kept him in the back of my Citroen 2CV.......all very silly, but I did genuinely feel (and still do) that it should have been Poyet, not Malky in charge at the beginning of this season.

In which case fair play to you! I also maintained that the time to have sacked Malky was after the Bolton game. No experience at this level and certainly no experience of handling transfer budgets into tens of millions, as events eventually proved!

As Ole appears to be staying, does anybody else think it would be a good shout for Bellamy to be brought into the management team as his assistant?

He could work wonders on the attitude of the players. Whether he has the tactical knowledge to manage one day remains to be seen but he is however very connected to the players and would probably be looked up to when people like Healey, John and Harris hopefully start finding first team football regularly. Go for it.

I very much agree. Hope we could retain him as a player coach too, he must have one season left at that level!

We all heard you loud and clear TDA. I think it was your negotiation approach that might've let you down. That car you bound, gagged and stuffed him into was barely road worthy - it would never have made the journey from France to Wales.

This confused the hell out of me. I'm looking at my recommendation of Felix Magath and wondering what sort of drug I was on at the time.
