With the lack of a decent striker the past couple of seasons, why on earth wasn't Velcro given a chance?  He's been scoring regularly in Belgium, and even if it's a lower standard we couldn't be any worse off after the so-called strikers Slade has brought in.

Agree entirely. He always scored regularly and looked a decent player for the Devpt team and has done the same elsewhere.
I'm concerned that Rhys Healey will meet a similar fate.

Quite true, but if you don't give players a chance you'll never know. Velcro is more of a poacher so who knows how he would have done, he couldn't do any worse than those brilliant signings by Slade, Revell, Doyle, Ameobi, Saadi (although he seems out of favour now)

Agree entirely. I mean we sign a couple of players - Zahore and Saadi - who are completely unproven at a lower-league level, yet Eti is banging them in wherever he plays. Obviously not that straightforward, but was always worth a go if we wanted to keep the budget to a minimum.

Exactly, but just filling up column inches with another non-story when there is little else to write about. As you said up top, Belgian Second Division.......probably equivalent to League 2 or upper Conference at best.
