Just thought I'd pop in with a bit more good news, just in case it hasn't already been reported on the board. See the official site for the whole package, but season ticket prices have been reduced for next season, with a two year price freeze for 'early shoppers'. Also reintroduced student tickets. Just what the doctor ordered now that VT has got 'the blood suckers' off his back.

Thanks Lottie.
It is good news but I think the manager's future will have as much effect on sales as the price.

As you know, we are singing off the same sheet.

If the teams continues to be so inconsistent and so miss the playoffs, then the club will have to persuade supporters that next season is the one when we are likely to properly kick on.

That should have happened this year and anyone with half a brain will be aware of what has held us back.

Never mind the playoffs, but if we don't go up this year, then we are probably going to lose both Marshall and Manga.

To me, that is no bad thing, as we have adequate cover at CB anyway and the funds from selling those two should strengthen the areas that really need it.

However, we need the right man in charge, i.e one who can be trusted with £7m or £8m and provide some confidence.

There is plenty of potential in the squad already. It just needs to be finessed by someone we can have faith in.

Ticket sales will take care of themselves from then on.

I've not heard anyone say they have stopped attending because the tickets are too expensive - I've seen dozens say they stopped coming because watching a Russell Slade team play is often only vaguely more interesting than watching paint dry.

Part of me is pleased to see a chairman put so much faith in his manager. Most of me though is despairing that we are being ignored once again.
