If ever there was a match with the odds stacked in City's favour, this is it!

Not a good start to the season for the Terriers and now it looks as if Mark Hudson may well be out injured, which is a huge blow for them.

No return to Cardiff for our other legendary former CB, Anthony Gerrard, who has been released and is presently without a club. I always felt that he was a half decent player for us and, certainly when he went out on loan at Hull. I hope that he can find a club where he can settle, stay fit and play regularly.

If City are to do anything positive this season, then we need to be blowing away teams like Huddersfield at home. That said, they do live up to their nickname when they play us and I anticipate a more difficult game.

I am going to enjoy some unfounded optimism this morning and hope that it won't come back to bite me on the rear, but 4 - 0 City and the start of better things at home.

Almost certainly an unchanged team......

I'm massively out of the loop at the moment (thanks Cyprus!), but I'll back a 2-1 home win.

Team as above, with the usual suspects subs.

All good so far, Reading beat Ipswich last night, Forest just won at QPR. Just need Brighton v Hull to be a draw and with a City win today, we will go second. A draw or better will put us at least third regardless of the result between the top two.

City playing a rigid 4-4-2. That's a surprise
