Watched the new Footballon5 show last night and was horrified.
Absolute car crash tv with Channel 5 obviously having learned nothing from the BBC being forced to abandon their Wimbledon highlights show in front of a live audience in favour of less gimmicks.
The format was all over the place with matches being shown in seemingly random order and the 'live' studio audience looking as if they were on day release from a care home.
It's been rightly savaged (in my opinion!) on social media and I'm intrigued whether anybody else on here watched it and thought the same.

I have it on record, but I'm increasingly tempted to just delete it based on these sorts of comments.

It's actually being savaged for its likeness to Top Gear and other 'banter' type programmes rather than being a proper football show.
I love Mirror football journalist Ian Hyland's tweet "Dear Footballon5 we just want to see the goals. Please drop the sub Top Gear audience-based banter-fuelled twattery. Thanks, The Fans"
Even when Steve Claridge was on the show, the BBC offering was a cut above this nonsense.
Not that I feel strongly about it.

Jf you want to see group rage, try the Footballon5 Facebook page or if you can bear looking at another forum try this link - http://www.ccmb.co.uk/fudforum/index.php?t=msg&th=408744&start=0&rid=0
By the way Rhys, the 'you' was generic not personal!

I'm obviously easily pleased!...but they have to pad the show out with something...
Also sorry Cyncoed, anything is better than staying up to midnight to listen to Steve C's appalling 'analysis'

Shockingly bad. It has the key ingredient - an early start time. Just show us highlights of one extended match; Twenty minutes of Champ highlights and analysis; Twenty minutes of League One; Twenty minutes of League Two. Done.

I watched the Sky FL72 Goals programme on Sunday and it was excellent. Some extended highlights, goals from every football league game shown consecutively without even a studio anchor man, no pundits - heaven!

I happened to see a trailer for the C5 show on Saturday and that put me off. Looked like the formula was still the same as has been roundly slated.........
