Exactly the player we need. Midfield steel, pretty decent set piece taker that will put pressure on Whitts to deliver, and has experience defending others (something Whitts again would benefit from).

No denying that Barton would be decent for us, also comes with a reputation for being a cock and has a bad temper, but Gary medel had a bad reputation for having a temper but when he signed for us he was like El pussycat than El pitbull,
