I was there a couple of years ago on the 9th. February, on a day that had snow on the Pennines as I crossed them by train to witness another of Malky Mackay's top of the league don't loose 0-0 draws. All that way without a goal. I was well pissed off.
After Tuesday's invigorating performance we are once again up against Harold Wilson's old team, Huddersfield Town and someone else with a point to prove.
We to have a leader, well a new coach anyway
Paul Trollope, nicknamed Trolls, was Rovers' manager from 2005 until 2010 and a player from 2004 to 2006. Born in Swindon in 1972, he is the son of Swindon Town legend John Trollope. He was initially brought to Bristol Rovers as a player by then-manager Ian Atkins, and later took on the role of player-coach under him. When Atkins was sacked in 2005, Trollope was asked to take over as caretaker-manager until a full-time appointment was made, and he took team mate John Anderson on as his assistant. He was later given the position of First Team Coach under Director of Football Lennie Lawrence. He retained the title of First Team Coach until September 2009, when it was changed to manager, and he took sole charge when Lawrence left the club at the end of the 2009–10 season.

have a feeling that trolls should have had a lot more credit than what was offered

Improved performance aside, given our recent run and that we're away from home I'd take a draw and would expect that to be the result too.
I'll plump for 2-2.

I think Trollope's input could be vital, I'll go for a scrappy 1-0 win to Cardiff,

The run of not winning away from home this season must come to an end soon, so giving that City almost got through a game in which they scored, without conceding, on Tuesday, I'll go for a 1-0 City win. I also hope that those loyal travelling fans see a good game and have something to cheer about.

If the players can play to their potential, then they should beat Huddersfield. IMO, this has been the problem all year, in that we have good players, but they just haven't been set up in a system that suits them.
Don't want to go overboard after just one improved performance, but maybe this Trollope chap will finally make the difference. Just a shame that so many really skillful players have gone, as it would have been interesting to see what he could have done with them.
Kenwyne Jones up against Hudson will be a fascinating clash, unless Slade does something daft like like playing Revell instead.
I think it is time to give Noone a rest and maybe start the two youngsters on the wings, but in an away game, that is doubtful.
Have to be positive and say things are on the up and a 2 - 1 win for City......Hudson to score for Huddersfield.

We beat Watford a couple of months back, but even still it's just the two away wins in nigh on 12 months now.
As mentioned above, Noone has to be left out; he simply doesn't offer enough to warrant a place in the side. Kennedy should start following his impressive showing LTO, while the back seven (Whitts, Gunns included in that) will no doubt remain the same.

Match Day!
Who's going to be listening and maybe hereabouts as well? How is everyone preparing for this one?
I'll be listening on City's Player, but I might tune into the Huddersfield commentary, as a view from the opposition makes a change from Richard Shepherd, who tries his best, but..............
In the meantime, I'm going to fire up the chainsaw and cut up a ton of firewood.....very thereaputic.......you wouldn't believe how many logs are called Russell.........
