I'm really not bothered by this at all. If he has the skill then he clearly lacks something else, perhaps the application to make it work for him and the team.

If anything, hope he does go as then Slade might see fit to start including Daehli in his squad who had another excellent game (by all accounts) for Norway again the other night.

I'm not sure how much to read into these reports. The WO version is so vague that it doesn't really rise much above speculation. The dilemma seems to be whether to extend the loan in January, rather than end it early. It also implies that the knee injury has restricted his opportunities.

It has been a very quiet week or so for domestic news, so perhaps this story is just a space-filler.

Perhaps you're right tda - he had a very solid debut performance if I remember correctly.

He may have all the talent in the world but if he lacks the right character then he may very well find his opportunities very limited indeed

He's also got one or two things outside football on his mind and which no doubt will have an affect.

The club (admittedly not Slade) took him on loan with that baggage, when other clubs wouldn't touch him.
