First Slade transfer target??

Rumour spreading on other boards that Slade has enquired about former Leyton Orient captain Stephen Dawson, a journeyman midfield hardman, presently plying his trade at Rochdale.

Likewise - although that was always my biggest fear when Slade took over. We really need to be looking to bring in proven Championship players (ironically like the many we have let go over the past 12 months).

Slade is certainly making some interesting decisions - for exampling the true isolation of out of favour players not even getting a run out in the development squad is a bizarre move?

Regarding the original post, surely there is no truth to it. Slade is clever enough to know that the championship is different level of class to those knocking about in the lower leagues.

Though on saying that, it's easy to forget that we picked up roger Johnson from Wycombe and he turned out to be a gem!
