Just watched the "highlights" on the Football League show. Apart from the Jones' goal, City didn't feature at all. To be fair, I think because the game was so dire, the BBC decided to cut the allocation and show extended highlights of the Brighton game instead.

In any event, City clearly need to be better in possession. It's an old, old problem

That's pretty much Jones in a nutshell right now. Overwhelmed his marker which left him in acres of space, then a nice composed finish. My worry is what happens when teams start to respond to his threat and begin double marking him - that's when we need Le Fondre to shine.

Do you think he went for the nutmeg on purpose?

He seems to hit the ball directly at the keeper more often that not.

I think it's the done thing nowadays - plays on the goalkeepers natural urge to spread themselves as wide as possible to prevent being beaten wide. Diego Costa seems to aim straight at the keeper more often than not from what I've seen of him too.
