Firstly why are all the commentators pronouncing his name without the pronounced 're' at the end. I thought his name was pronounced - 'le fond-ruh'? Is that correct?

Also, what a class act today - he was involved in everything.

Jones looked dangerous too. On today's showing, I'm looking forward to seeing our attacking unit kick ass this season.

You are right on the pronunciation, but if anything the "ruh" is just an afterthought, hardly sounded......not like the "re" in Velindre.

Cheers for responding TDA despite the initial post containing shocking grammar, missing words, extra words and all round shoddiness- I'm surprised you could read it! All fixed now!

Basically, I use my tablet the majority of the time to write posts on this forum. It has a feature where you can run your finger across the keyboard and a line will 'draw' the word for you (use google if the above doesn't make sense.) Anyway, I often find that it spells the wrong word and I don't always proof read my posts (schoolboy error).

So there we go, a half explanation for why my posts are often unreadable!

I heard Richard Shepherd using that pronunciation the other week and, not concentrating at the time, thought he had called him The Fonze!

I have to agree about Jones too. I wasn't expecting him to do anything preseason that would change my view of him but he has looked good so far in the clips i have seen of him.

Doing it regularly in the league is another matter but many people have said that getting his attitude right is the main difference between him being an asset and a liability - at the moment his body language is looking positive to me. He would be a great, and to me unexpected, addition to the squad if his head is right for the forthcoming season  lefondre 1525230823

Yes, Jones in the right mood and an in-form and fit Maynard would be like signing two new players....... lefondre 1525230823

Yes, I was thinking that Maynard was almost like a new signing.

I had almost entirely written him off - but who knows, he could rediscover his form from the Bristol days
