Another nothing story from South Wales' favourite rag.........
If Medel didn't move this summer and City didn't get promoted next season, his career would stall in a major way. He is 26 and will come back from the World Cup with an enhanced reputation. He may love Cardiff to bits, but common sense says he will move on for the sake of his career.

Maybe a little kidology from Dalman too. Make out that, as Medel's reputation is enhanced on the back of a good World Cup performance, we are happy to keep him to let other clubs know that we won't offload him quickly and cheaply.

There appears to be a release clause in his contract, so the transfer fee is out of our hands anyway, unless clubs then start a bidding war.
Even then, I believe it will be up to Medel to choose his club, regardless of whether they are the high bidder, provided the release figure has been met.
