Right, so, further to that thread I posted a fortnight ago about Chrome not displaying smilies - it's gone and done it again. Having to uninstall and reinstall it constantly is ticking me off. Grrr!

Considering switching browsers as a result and wanted to know what other people use and/or if they can recommend one?

I don't tend to have any problems with Chrome. Do you have Adblock Plus? Worth getting.

Had the same problem with the smilies with Chrome, much to the amusement of others on here at the time. I installed Firefox as well and all been fine since.

I used to use Firefox but I found it got quite slow and buggy - that was about five years ago though! Might be worth a revisit.

Gloves - I use the normal AdBlock, is there much difference?

Ha! Funnily enough, they've just come back.

I uninstalled about half a dozen redundant Chrome extensions, upgraded from AdBlock to AdBlock Plus and they've magically reappeared.

There's a lesson in the somewhere but I'll be buggered if I can be bothered to find it  O/T - Internet browsers 3392635135
