And putting into print what I hope others are also thinking at the moment. Anyway here goes:-
Amidst all the euphoria of the signing of the new manager, let’s all just take a deep breath, pull our heads out of the clouds and place our feet firmly on the floor. Fans are seeing OGS as a great capture for the club and that may well turn out to be so. (I am heading the list of all those who are yearning for it to be so). The facts are, that we have taken on a person, who despite all of his vast experience as a player in the Premier League, Champions League and International football, is still a relatively inexperienced manager, who readily admits that there is a vast gulf between the standards of football in the Norwegian League and that of the English Premier League. We will need to be very patient and, as always, supportive of the ‘new boss’, without expecting him to perform miracles with performances on the pitch and suddenly turning the team into ‘world beaters’. He follows a manager who quickly became very popular with the majority of fans at CCS, many of whom are still very disappointed that MM has left, so we all need to stifle any early criticisms of how we perceive OGS’s team selections, use of subs, style of play, management techniques etc. The mood amongst most fans I have spoken to, is pretty upbeat at the moment, so let’s try to keep it that way and in so doing, ‘support the boys WHEN we make a noise’, especially against The Hammers on Saturday, for Ole's first home game. See you all there, hopefully.

I think many fans, often without knowing it, have been sucked into the fairytale land of having a footballing legend managing a club that many saw playing in parks not too long ago. Scrape that away, and he's still very untested. I think it's exactly what Tan wanted - we 'be forgotten about Malky already, and many others have already made remarks critiscising a man that did so much for the club.

I still think he will come good, but it's by no means a given. Any dip in form will see calls of support for Malky skyrocket again however...

Any appointment Tan could have made carried an element of risk, bar none.

But the appointment of OGS carried the right mix of potential, reputation, ability and affordability to appease the fans, the board, Tan himself and restore some credibility to the club again

How much experience did Malky have when he took over? Not a great deal.
I think Solskjaer has 3 full seasons with Molde under his belt plus 2 seasons in charge of Man Utd reserves.
Time will tell.....

Fantastic point...OGS is more qualified as a player and a manager than Malky was! Flair good sir!
