But as malkys biggest fan I do think malky could be in trouble if we dont win on sat, and IF we do lose then it might be time to go, but at least I wasnt calling for him to go after 7 games....

He may not last until Saturday........
......and Tache, it was the performances during the second half of last season, leading up to where we are that have caused concern. For some of us, we saw warning signs in his first season....
Four wins in 22 games (six in 27), which includes the run-in of our season when we were the "runaway" winners of the Championship is pretty poor by anyone's standards....

It's another big chance for us to make a debt on the table. We're at home where we are always stronger against a West Brom team that are on a losing streak.
Palace are away at Chelsea, Fulham away at Everton, Sunderland and West Ham play each other. A win would really create some confidence and a safety net. A loss could (should?) mean Malky's head.

In fairness I think everyone was worried by the way we ran out of steam and struggled to convincingly beat teams last season. It's just that VTT et al felt that on the basis of where we finished, it simply isn't right to sack him without any Premiership football played. Tan was in a worse position, as if he did so, he would have faced a huge backlash from the fans. The club made the right decision to give him a fair crack of the whip. But obviously he will be culpable if results do not improve as he did spend a considerable amount in the summer and the performances are deteriorating.TDA wrote:He may not last until Saturday........

woke up at 0400 ans just lay in bed wondering why? what went wrong? where are our next points coming from? no team is too good to go down and that includes cardiff city. if you doubt that ask fergie.
always wanted more than one season in the premier league, indeed i think all promoted teams need a second season. the first to acclimatise and the second to establish themselves. to be honest, under the present management i cannot see the second season coming. only hope vt has the balls on monday.

It probably is, as we won't get anything against Liverpool or Southampton and Sunderland are improving rapidly, meaning it's our only chance for three points.Vinnie Tans Tache wrote:you might be right there slumdog, we have made it harder, BUT how many fans are having a change of hand, I do think Saturday's game is make or break,

yes slumdog i think you are right. many of the fans hate him because of the red shirt issue and supported mm over recent issues, not necessarily because they thought mackay was right, but because of their venom for vincent tanSlumdog's Son™ wrote:The problem for him is, the fans have made it harder for him haven't theydavewebber65 wrote:woke up at 0400 ans just lay in bed wondering why? what went wrong? where are our next points coming from? no team is too good to go down and that includes cardiff city. if you doubt that ask fergie.

Results are more important than red shirts.......I don't think there would have been that much of a backlash...and in any case, what could a "backlash" entail?

If Tan hasn't caused as much controversy as he had, sacking Malky would be a lot easier.
By making Malky a martyr he might of doomed the team, and his investment, to failure. I would say serves him right, but it hurts too much.

The problem is the club found the small-scale protests at the end of matches embarassing. I was watching the City v Man Utd match and at the end, when Gary Neville et al were praising City's performance, a small band of anti-Tan's could be seen and heard in the background, after the other fans had gone and the floodlights had been turned off. That's the sort of thing Tan doesn't want more of and will be worried about stirring up.
