Tans Comments Regarding Derby Day

"I've been told to understand that emotions run high and they are massive rivals.

"It's hard fo me to understand why you have a big rivalry with your neighbours. They are from the same nation.

"We should give them as warm a welcome as we can. Just like when we go there."

1. He's not aware of local rivalries? Man United Man City? Liverpool Everton? Newcastle Sunderland? He's bought a football club and not even bothered to understand that this sort of rivalry is common place?

2. He's so clueless as to think those sorts of comments aren't going to infuriate people? I like the rivalry but I completely agree that many parts of it are a disgrace to the sport as a whole. But to portray yourself as wanting us all to meet them at the gates with open arms just shows how little he actually cares about what we think.

don't regard him as being a knob, but would have thought he would have been adequately briefed regarding the fixture. that said we have to play the match and not the event

Oh tan tan tan......I hope we can all look back one day at the tan era and laugh. He really does not actually care what the fans think does he? No interest in appeasing whatsoever!

He could do with a foundation lesson in fan rhetoric....in a strange way he could learn a lot from Sam Hammam in how telling the fans what they want to hear makes you popular

Even better he could just keep his mouth shut for once. If he didn't say a word the club would market it like they always do and everything would be just fine. But the egotist can't help himself, can he?

I'm glad that other people are seeing what I'm saying in that he just seems to want to offend us for the sake of it nowadays. There's no positive spin, no long term gain, he just offends us because he doesn't care what we think.
