Liverpool's Daniel Aggee hit a young fan in the head with a misjudged shot in training, leaving him seemingly in quite a state . He responds by immediately jumping the barrier and going straight to him, checks he's okay, says sorry and immediately hands him his shirt. No media pressure, purely because it was the right thing to do. It's nice to see .

Reminds me of Phil Mickelson who broke a spectator's watch with a wayward shot. Apologised and handed the guy $200 from a roll he keeps in his golf bag, so he could buy a replacement.....

I remember Rory McIlroy hitting a guy in the head off a tee shot, I can't remember what tournament. He went straight over, showed no interest in finding his balls but instead went straight to the man. He apologised profusely, signed his glove and handed it to him then told him to come to the clubhouse once he was finished and he'd make sure security let him in. When he got there Rory had bought a shirt from the club shop and gone around getting every signature he could find , along with 'Really Sorry!' In big letters in the middle.TDA wrote:Reminds me of Phil Mickelson who broke a spectator's watch with a wayward shot. My dad Marshall's in golf tournaments regularly so he sees a lot. Tiger Woods for example once told a group of kids that wanted his autograph to meet him by the 18th green's bridge through to the clubhouse and he'll do it there. When he finished he jumped in a buggy and was driven in the other direction.
The kid's wearing an AC Milan top, though I'm assuming it was during training with Denmark. Something similar to this happened during the Accrington Stanley game earlier this season: One of our players smashed a ball into the crowd during the warm-up and hurt a little boy - they ensured he had some freebies to make up for it.Rhys wrote:Nice of him to do that - though the kid doesn't seem to be a Liverpool fan! Not that that matters much I guess. Also, where are they training?!

I was staying at the Carnoustie Hotel a few years back, at the same as Celtic with Gordon Stachan as boss. They were due to play Dundee or Dundee Utd on a Sunday. Anyway, word got around that that were there and pretty soon there were about 50 well behaved kids with Mums and Dads inside the reception area and waiting outside to see the team. Strachan took the players out of the back door and straight onto the bus, without passing the fans.........Having witnessed it first hand, I'll never forget or forgive Strachan for that.
Coincidentally, the Airdrie squad arrived just after that for lunch before their game and they were great with the kids and everyone else that was there.....

T'was Craig Noone, I remember that too. He got the team to sign a ball and a shirt for him and sent it in the post.*** G L O V E S *** wrote:The kid's wearing an AC Milan top, though I'm assuming it was during training with Denmark. Whenever you're playing a sport that involves a surprisingly heavy ball being kicked at high speeds, this sort of thing is always going to happen. It's all about how you deal with it. I must admit watching prematch warm ups I'm disappointed when a shot balloons into the crowd and the player turns around well before it lands. A eye on where/ who it hits and a simple wave of apology would really boost my opinion of them.
