Real shame, I was hoping that they would keep him a bit longer so we could have one less relegation spot to worry about!

To be fair, he was of his rocker. Just reading this BBC article http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/24200309

and it turns out Paulo wasn't very popular with his players who has no respect for him. Not surprised the way he spoke about his team publicly.

Time to head back to league 1 Paulo , let's just hope Sunderland do not come knocking at our managers door.

The problem is Di Canio was stuck in the managerial dark ages. He's not nessecerily wrong in doing so, but publically critiscising players isn't done nowadays purely because the average footballers ego won't tolerate it. Look at Jose Mourinho, it's clear he doesn't like something about Juan Mata, but he would never go out and publically say it.

You have to babysit your team nowadays. It's ridiculous, but it's how it is.
