Not good enough for the premiership as proven when he had to sign for Celtic to avoid humiliation.

Idle speculation an easy story for the journo - not sure he would cut it with us now.

If only the papers checked our forum more often or they wouldn't be so out-of-date with these rumours

I think he is Premiership class, but playing in the weak SPL doesn't help anyone's game.
Ledley chose to go to Scotland because of the attraction of the Champions League each year and also a doubtlessly higher salary package.
Any English club would have had to compensate Cardiff, but I am guessing that Celtic were willing to include a suitable inducment to Ledley, as no compensation is payable between Scottish and English leagues.
That was a bit of a kick in the teeth for the club who brought him to that level, so although I believe that he would be a good addition to the squad, I hope that Cardiff are not too quick to forget how he bailed out at a time when the compensation money would have been very handy for City.

Well he did post on twitter (I think it was Red who saw it), that he was anti-rebrand. I'm unsure if this would influence things or not...!

Yeah it was me and ill repeat the point I made then - I don't think Tan would give out the funds to pay for a man that's vocally dismissed the rebrand like Ledley has.
Whether or not he's good enough, thanks to the mixed bunch that is the SPL. He's good enough to make the champions league squad that took on teams like Barcelona and juventus, but simultaneously was there no option but to pick him?

Caveat....I am a genuine admirer of Don Cowie, but, again, he has been played at the wrong time and in the wrong position......

He would get in the team as it stands as part of a rotation. I think he might find that as the team is improved he would drop down the pecking order quickly until he became a bench player. Anyone think we could poach Victor Wanyama instead?!

It's been rumoured for a while that Joe would like to come back home and that Malky is aware of this. Apparently his Missus hasn't settled in Scotland, but then would you want to pay a fee for someone who ran down his previous contract and left for Celtic, who not having to pay a fee could then afford to pay him £28k a week. He is definitely not worth £1.5mil a year in wages, so as much as I admired him when he played for us, I'd say leave him in Scotland.

Well if his wife hasn't settled he would probably take a paycut...but it all depends on who else we get in the summer

£28k a week! Is that what he's paid? He's not worth that. I loved Ledley when he was here and I didn't blame him for leaving but I wouldn't bring him back at anything like those wages.
