To be fair to the Lib Dems - they've ensure that the income tax threshold will increase throughout this government - near on 9 grand tax free from April I believe?

I imagine it will be more of the same from Osborne...

I expect to see lots of news coverage of well dressed single mothers, sat in modern, nicely decorated homes with flat screen tvs and laptops in evidence behind them, bemoaning their lot.
I expect to be told I am poorer through the medium of cheap graphics.
I expect a three way tie in the whose face do you want punch hardest challenge: Osborne, Balls or Alexander
I expect to be able to say, for the fifteenth straight year, "I'm glad I gave up smoking"

Good news on the income tax threshold but the rest of the budget will just be a car crash of penny pinching tactics. The worst thing is our taxes are horrendous yet we lost our triple A credit rating. And I was led to believe the taxes were so high in order to protect our credit rating? But surely that means those high taxes were a waste of time! What are you expecting from the budget 2854552383

All a bunch of clowns to be fair. Im UKIP and that's purely because I believe we need out of the EU. Its like the other parties are oblivious to the word treaty and are also oblivious to the fact we trade with BRIC countries now. I see no reason why the same cannot be done with EU countries.

I went to a debating meeting the other day and a girl called me and two others 'racist' for supporting/voting UKIP. I asked her in response (she's 23 and white British) 'Have you ever worked?' to which she replied 'No'. I then told her I wish she'd sod off out of the country as well. What are you expecting from the budget 692773407

Im not racist, just want the best for Britain. Now whilst I can ascertain that plenty of immigrants come here and do well there needs to be a shut off point to get things under control and get our own house in order. I wouldn't invite someone to my house if it was a mess so why do we invite people to our country when its not in order? vCanada have had a sieve around their country for years and talent pick the best immigrants for their country based on skill. What this then does is it motivates those people who want to move to that country to gain the skills required to reach the points threshold for VISA qualification. I have gone to university for many reasons, one of which is to give me more freedom of movement in the world to countries like the USA/Canada and Japan where my skills are sought.

Career dole bums are living a life of luxury with Xbox's and cars and smoking £5+ pack of cigarettes today whilst a working family next door has to struggle doing a 9 to 5 just to get by. Thats creating the resentment in our society. Thats creating the divide. People waking up in the morning and working hard only to see an all day pyjama wearing cretin doing nothing whilst getting it handed to them on a plate.

The most annoying thing about everything is the people who've been brainwashed by their parents to support a certain party because of 'Thatchers evil' type slurs.

Same as any other budget - plenty of giving with one hand and taking with the other, accompanied by an abundance of pointless analyses about what it means to stereotypical families and individual people in the street. Fortunately I don't smoke, but I still won't be holding my breath.

Potentially slightly deep for this time in the morning but I find myself agreeing with you jackanackanory. When I became a father I remember being stunned by how much money the government were willing to give me in child benefit regardless of whether I worked or not. And they give you more for every new child you have. And they wonder why so many young girls are becoming baby factories when you can amount a small fortune by literally just lying on your back all day.

Cut the benefits system down harshly. Give more money to disability related benefits because many genuinely disabled people are cruelly turned away everyday. But job seekers? Go out as find them five job interviews and tell them that they can take their pick, but if they refuse all five their benefit will be stopped entirely. The same will happen if you last less than a year in the job - you're not entitled to benefit if you are sacked or quit.
