The first two give a bit more insight into Malky's youth development policy in that he likes to keep it "in house" under the guidance of his coaches, that could explain why Velcro has not been out on loan. It could be Malky is targeting specific weaknesses for improvement before introducing the players to regular football. That could be so they go straight into the team, ready to fit to the Malky system. Just a thought.
It also highlights that we really do have some promising and young players in the City squad at the moment. Kimbo, Mason, Nugent, Ralls, Velcro, Harris, Coulson to name but a few and while they may not all be spring chickens they are the right side of 25 and clearly all have promise. This is a part of Malky's transfer and management style that I really do like.
The third article, is frankly, a must. Even if Hudson does come back soon, he will still need time to get back up to speed and there's no question we're short in that area.

Great work Arkay
I have to admit, I'm still unconvinced by him not letting fringe players out on loan. I thoroughly believe the best training in the world is no substitute for getting out and playing 90 minutes every week.

I'm not sure either, I was merely speculating. It does prove that Malky definitely has a strategy though and that not letting players out is a conscious choice rather than pure ignorance. We shall see the fruits of those labours, err, one day, I guess.

I think that Malky doesn't want to unsettle players by letting them have a taste of first team action elsewhere. That raises their exposure and would create interest from elsewhere. It might be that much more difficult to hold on to the likes of Joe Mason.

You have to say that it seems that the DVP has been a real success this year though I'm not sure how exactly players are supposed to make the transition to the first team squad?
Malky did say that last year had we not been on the edge of the play offs for the last 2 months of the season he would have given Kadeem his chance. I wonder if things go well in the next two weeks whether we might see some of these boys on the park before the season is over?

The concensus is that three wins should see us safe. We really ought to get two of those from the next two games......I don't believe in this bogey side nonsense.
It could be that there will be three or four games at the end of the season, where, apart from anything else, players could be given a well-deserved rest and the back-ups such as Kiss, Velcro & Ralls and even Rudy might have a few games.
