I wish i felt more reassured but it does seem to fly in the face of earlier quotes. At the very least if there was never any intention to change the name then Tan could have avoided a lot of the unrest of today by choosing his words more carefully.
Time will tell i guess.

Indeed, I remember the press release which stated 'Cardiff City with play in blue for the 12/13 season' after the initial hysteria, and look how that turned out.
I'm tempted to believe its the truth and a name change won't happen, but official club statements have lied in the past. I'm not going to talk about this anymore unless some more groundbreaking news emerges. Too depressing

Bare in mind English is his second language and he will have been reacting on the fly to questions put to him.
Remember that 'special' actually means different, which is Jose Mourinho meant to say.... Though I suppose that worked in his favour!
