Inspired by the premiership quality player topic, in started thinking about how well a team of championship all stars would do in the premiership. But who would be in your team, and what's your opinion on their premiership chances?
Here's mine, minus the defence im still thinking about. Some players will almost certainly change if I ever get around to a 'final draft' though.
Marshall (Cardiff)
Zaha (Man U/Palace), Ince (Blackpool), Knockaert (Leicester), Bellamy (Cardiff)
Rhodes (Blackburn), Vydra (Watford)
I reckon a team of this sort of quality could challenge for middle of the table, really.

I'm hopeless on other team's players, I think of them only by thier number. Ince stood out, Koren is a good player, Trotter plays well whenever I see him, Zaha and the other Palace winger, Curtis Davies is always good, bloody Thomas Kusczek.
I'm still yet to be convinced by Zaha. I haven't seen him do anything particularly worth all the hype (or the money!) Hard to discount Murray though on current form.

I honestly think Bolasie is a better player than Zaha.

This is based on form of course. Scott Dann is the best defender in the league but he hasn't played to the best of his ability and the same for a number of other players

You may well be right, looking at the pure stats. I also however discovered something very interesting while checking myself -
Wilifred Zaha - 32 appearances, 5 goals, 6 assists
Yannick Bolasie - 29 appearances, 2 goals, 7 assists
Craig Noone - 21 appearances, 5 goals, 8 assists
So using their goal and assist per game averages, Zaha and Noone respectively, if both had played 32 games -
Zaha - 5 goals, 6 assists
Noone - 7/8 goals, 12 assists.
Did Manchester United buy the wrong player?

I certainly thought Bolasie looked a better player than Zaha against us. But interesting stuff regarding Mysterious Noone...that's flair points right there

Noone doesn't seem to have consistency though. One minute he can be genius, the next he seems immature and gives the ball away too easily. Once he learns that there's more than just trying to beat the player , he'll be a much better asset for us.

I don't know much about Knockaert...and I was tempted to pick Whitts on his early season form but he's tailed off hugely since then.

The goals have dried-up due to his deeper role, but there’s no-one else better than linking defence and attack. I did briefly consider Leadbitter (Boro) or Jedinak (Palace) but couldn’t justify it.

I wonder if Malky will sign a deep lying midfielder in order to allow Whitts to play further up the field...oh I wish we signed that rotter Kevin Nolan

And MacEachran has disappeared...has he gone back to Chelsea? He seemed to be the player that made Boro tick pre-Christmas
