I know there is a little bit of PR going on here but when you compare it to other clubs and their heirarchy (Chelsea, Blackburn for instance) this is still good to hear. I know that the Malaysians have taken huge criticism for the rebrand (and perhaps one of the worst things about that is that they weren't allowed to launch the idea to the fans on their own terms, thus causing chaos from minute one) but there is little doubt they have steadied the ship. After the rollercoaster of Hammam and the shambles of The Riddler, it does at least feel like these guys have a plan and know how to execute it.

I may be proved wrong, of course, but at the moment I don't worry about this side of the club and the same goes for Malky, he may not be perfect (who is? Even Mourinho gets trounced every now and then) but he is a good, solid manager who so far has delivered everything that has been expected. Judging by Phil Red/Blue's report of the meeting the other night he is honest, open and willing to engage with the fans (I look at you Messrs Jones and Lawrence). I think this kind of stability can only benefit the club and give us fans a few less heart attacks, well, at least off the pitch anyways.

I always found Lawrence to be willing to talk to fans. Often discussed the team with him at reserve games.

I stand corrected (well, actually I'm sitting right now). He always came across as a bit of misery guts in interviews but perhaps I only ever saw the worst of him.
