Any drummers out there?

Given the number of music threads that are posted, there are clearly posters out there that appreciate good music. But can any of you play. I have four daughters, one recently started playing piano after asking and asking for the last 9 months. I have one who is about to have her first violin lesson, cant wait for that start. And now one of my others has asked for a drum kit for christmas. She is 9 years old, small in size and plays no other musical instrument. I dont want to spend a fortune, as this may be a fad, however I dont want to buy a cheap set and find that we need to replace it in a years time. Any advice would be most welcome, who knows this could be the Corrs all over again.
