9/11 investigations

Just saw this on the other board and thought it was quiet interesting. There is an american petition doing the rounds demanding a new inquest into 9/11 and the 'discrepancies' that surround it. See below.

Such an investigation would include research into the following peculiarities relating to the terrorist attacks on the United States on 9/11:

1.) Thousands of put stock options that were purchased on United and American airlines immediately prior to 9/11/01

2.) Financial transactions totaling more than 100 million dollars that electronically passed through the World Trade Center immediately prior to its destruction on 9/11

3.) Black-box recordings from the four planes which crashed on 9/11

4.) Cell phone calls made by passengers on hijacked flights on 9/11 which never emerged on their cell-phone bills

5.) Interviews of any air-traffic controllers on duty on 9/11

6.) Eyewitness accounts detailing Flight 93's explosion prior to its crashing

7.) Aircraft debris strewn approximately seven miles from the crash site of Flight 93

8.) Unocal's role in its quest to build an oil pipeline across Afghanistan, plans implemented prior to 2001

9.) Carlyle Corporation's role in overseeing Unocal's quest to have an oil pipeline built across Afghanistan, plans implemented prior to 2001

10.) Role of remote-control software technology implemented in 9/11 hijackings and crashes

11.) George W. Bush's possible foreknowledge of the terrorist attacks on 9/11

12.) Role of the Northern Alliance in explosive growth of opium production in Afghanistan after U.S. military intervention

Any conspiracy fans on here? Is this petition attempting to shed some light on a massive US conspiracy? Or are people simply looking for something that isn't there?

Saw an excellent Docu on Discovery or Nat Geo can't remember which one which tore apart all these so called conspiracies. It was a great watch and I it quelled my own ethical conspiracies on 9/11

I think the US government is creating these conspiracy theories in order to have an excuse to increase punitive security measures.

Mind you, that's just a theory.....

I definitely think there's more to it than we're told but I doubt it's on the scale that some theorists think. I suspect it's more in the interests of national security.

Can't see any meaningful investigations until all relevant parties are dead.

I don't think there is a conspiracy on the scale some believe. I've watched programs before where people claimed Mossad instigated the whole thing so that the West would 'wage war' on the Middle East. Most of it is rubbish.

However, at the Pentagon crash site, depleted uranium was found of a type used in cruise missiles. Additionally, all eye-witnesses claimed it definitely wasn't a plane that hit the Pentagon, and the wreckage found there doesn't add up to a complete 757 crash, as there were no wings etc.

Also, George W. Bush was a non-Executive Director of General Dynamics, who manufacture numerous military systems, such as the Abrams tank. So obviously if there was a war, General Dynamics would profit greatly from it.

I don't know what happened and I don't think anyone will. But I don't think the cover-up is at the level many believe. Some of these things are coincidence...apart from the depleted uranium at the Pentagon! Oh well

they definately shot down flight 93............

I watched one documentary which did the maths regarding staff numbers and the like, and it came out with the minimum number of people who would in some way be in in the conspiracy and therefore have to keep it a secret. It was in the 7000 people region, and that's the absolute minimum with it much more likely to be in the tens of thousands. There's absolutely no way that the government could guarantee that many people would keep quiet and never say anything. No chance at all.

Yeah, I think you are right to be honest. All the US Government need to do, however, to put this one to bed is to release better footage of the Pentagon plane crash (which there is plenty of) instead of the blurry, two frames they have released that don't really show anything.
