Totally irrelevant page filling crap.
We don't know the size of the poll - could be less than 100.
Historically, those who take part in such knee-jerk polls are the real "neggies".

Christ people, we won the game. You'd think we just lost 46 games in a row the way some 'fans' are going on.

Is anyone beginning to think Dave "moans" Jones might have had a point when he criticised unrealistic expectations at Cardiff?

A true sign of champions is to win a game when you don't expect to win it.
Man City won coming from 2-1 down. Manchester United didn't tonight. Thats a story in itself and might change throughout the season but its an obvious sign already. Man City did what in previous seasons United have done numerous times.
A team that can pull out a win when their backs are to the walls are a very dangerous team indeed and I think its fair to say that HTFC can feel annoyed they didn't win because IMO they outplayed us and we have Marshall to thank a lot but thats why City won the league because keepers can make the difference. I wonder how many points Hart won city last season...

I finally got around to watching the Football League show, and their hosts very much agreed with you CB39. Moreso they talked in depth about the goalkeeper point, that both us and Leeds, teams with promotion hopes, hosted excellent goalkeeping performances. A good goalkeeper can really make the difference in a team. Having confidence your keeper can save anything that comes his way gives your defence more confidence in their roles, allowing your team to park the bus. A goalkeeper with good kicking spread, as Paddy Kenny showed, can really boost a teams counter attacking ability, displayed perfectly by his 80 yard odd pass to McCormack for Leeds. Not to mention the obvious boost to your winning chances when your goalkeeper is saving shots a 'normal' keeper probably wouldn't stand a chance with.
Good teams win at home and hold on by the skin of their teeth away. Great teams somehow manage to win even when they are outplayed.

Anybody who has read my posts on aamb over the years will tell you that i spent 90% of my time on there defending the players, club, managers etc against those who seemed to take pleasure in seeing city fail.
However there were a couple of things that troubled me about fridays perfromance.
1) i wouldnt have been too concerned if we tried to play football and it just didnt come off, but we just gave it to our centre backs who then smashed it up to helguson.
2) ben turner's insistence on cross field passes.
3) the inclusion of don cowie instead if an in form craig conway at home to huddersfield.
4) the fact that malky said in his press conf that it was hard for bellamy cos they doubled up on him all the time, which indicates that he must of been aware that this was the case yet waits til the 80th minute to bring on joe mason who then stretched the huddersfield defence and gave them something to think about on the right!
I'm not overly concerned at the moment cos as you rightly mention, we've only played one gaame, but these are things i'll be looking out for as they are a continuation of last years problems (which i then put down to lack of options in the squad).

This is something that Norwich did well a couple of years ago, they just kept on winning! Grinding out wins, they scored a LOT of goals in the closing minutes of a game.

Summed it up nicely with those points.
Hopefully the same mistakes won't be repeated too often.
The delay in making any substitutions was particularly strange.
