Dave Jones - never happy.

Davey Jones fuming despite Oldham win. The team win 2-4 and he still a grumpy git.
Sheffield Wednesday boss Dave Jones was unhappy with his side's first-half display against Oldham in the Capital One Cup.
The Owls trailed 2-0 to the League One side at half-time before four second-half goals saw them win through 4-2.
"We won a game that we shouldn't have won because for 45 minutes we were not in it," he told BBC Radio Sheffield.
"I'm spitting feathers. That was the worst first half I've seen. I remember the first 45 rather than the second."

He's got a point mind. They were awful in the first half. And but for a blinding save by their keeper would have gone 3-0 down early in the second. They then got a gift goal to let them back in. On that form they won't be a threat but Im sure they will improve.

The rumour currently circulating is Jay Bothroyd will be their marquee signing this year. In my opinion he'll be a complete flop, he'll probably see himself as above a championship team that will most likely be fighting relegation all season. Nonetheless, I look forward to his lazy performances infuriating Jones even more.

You might be right about Jay but DJ is the only manager who has managed to get something like the best out of him. I think some of our fans are too easily forgetting exactly how good Jay was for us, despite his charachter flaws.

He was great for us yes, he still is. Just from what I've seen of him recently more and more he's started to expect the ball to come his way, and shown no interest in fighting for it. He walks idly around defenders as opposed to trying to lose a marker or break an offside trap. It's why he was a flop at QPR. Given his chances he was among the best in this league and could be similar in the prem, but he needs to work harder for the chances.

That was because he never demanded much of him. Had Jones spat feathers when he was with us he might have got a little more success and now been managing a premiership club..

If he didn't demand much from him he got a hell of a lot out of him!
