OK so as we are all aware we have lost in the first round of the Capital One Cup thus ending our chances for another glorious run to Wembley only to suffer yet more expensive heartbreak.
However, is this a bad thing?
Are you pleased we can now concentrate solely on the big prize the league championship or are you annoyed/dismayed that we didn't put up a better fight with the youngsters on the pitch not really doing anything to worry the senior players....

I dont want us to have another cup run this year. Did I want to lose embarrassingly to a far inferior team? Of course not, I'd much rather lose only after taking Manchester City all the way to a penalty shoot out, but ultimately it doesnt matter. It just means we can now focus even more on where it counts - promotion.

I wanted us to win tonight so that the youngsters could have another game but I'm happy we wont have the distraction of a long cup run. I am beginning to suspect that Oshilalja is going to be second cover for the full backs behind Darcy so he needs games and I need to learn how to spell his name.

It's obvious the players hate wearing those blue shirts & it affects their game!

:lol! :
See, the problem with that is, nowhere in that post does it say I was talking about last years final. I said if we HAD to lose, I'd rather take the premier league winners to the limit.

I don't ever want to see us lose but i'm really not bothered about going out of the Carling Cup early, now we can concentrate on the Championship and the FA Cup

Did we play last night? I see the media have us down as losing to Northampton but I don't recognise the team as a City team. The result doesn't seem too bad when you consider less than half of that team stand a chance of getting within sniffing distance of the first team.
2 Joe Lewis Yet to play a league game for us
31 Ben Nugent who's this?
28 Dekel Keinan Is he still with the club?
35 Adedeji Oshilaja Not one of our's surely?
21 Joe Ralls Oh yes he's that promising young kid. Just as well he's not an international yet
11 Craig Conway Yep I recognise him
36 Kevin Sainte-Luce Who?
42 Declan John Didn't we move him on some years ago or is he an emergency loan from Newport?
37 Stephen McPhail (O Sullivan 19) If he was a horse he'd have been glue by now. The sub not even mentioned as being on the bench.
20 Joe Mason (Mutch 51) Yep I recognise these two
22 Heidar Helguson (Jarvis 61) I'm told we've signed him but he needs game time
Subsitutes
18 Jordon Mutch (Mason 51) Already mentioned
34 Jessie Darco Nowhere near a first teamer yet
33 Nathaniel Jarvis (Helguson 61) Who?
45 Theo Walton seems to ring a bell from somewhere. Wasn't he a keeper we sold?
43 Gethin Hill No, never heard of him
29 Elliot Parish Someone from the U16 squad maybe?
