Well, if Bellamy is coming I'd so no, but one wonders if getting these players from QPR is a gentleman's agreement that Bellamy goes to QPR without a bid coming from Cardiff... you never know.

Good point but if Bellamy wants to go to QPR or Cardiff, he will decide as long as Liverpool's valuation is met. QPR don't need to do us any favours, or us them. They want to offload Smith and Heide... just can't remember his name.... It's coming together nicely whatever. Keep up the good work Malky.Dr_Socks wrote:Well, if Bellamy is coming I'd so no, but one wonders if getting these players from QPR is a gentleman's agreement that Bellamy goes to QPR without a bid coming from Cardiff... you never know.
I know of Tommy Smith but I don't REEEAAALLY know of him, errr, per se.
Would this be a good signing for us? What are his strengths, weaknesses and how does he feel about the Richie-Ronaldo debate?

Good player IMO.
More of an attacking midfielder than a striker though.
Early 30s, so the transfer policy seems to be changing?

Sorry Caer y Glyn (sound’s like a house name by the way!), but I’m not sure about this one. If genuine it could be as a backstop in case the Bellamy deal doesn’t become a reality. Not a bad player at this level, known to Malky and can play wide as well up front. He could be looking at a bit more experience to balance the youngsters already brought in.

Another good squad player but i hope its additional rather than instead of Bellamy. Offers more than Liam Lawrence who i see is still stuck in Pompey refusing to leave!

It's indeed worrying re Bellamy. Not only are QPR clearing a sizeable amount of their wage bill, but they are also apparently giving it all to us, increasing ours.

Anybody else pick up the comment re City's enquiry about Bothroyd mentioned in the westlondonsport.com article?

I loved Bothroyd and he has more talent in his little finger than all the rest but.....do i want him back? On balance probably...

I think we could have done with him more last season than the upcoming one. He and Mason as an upfront pairing would have caused a few headaches for defenders.......
