Wow, American football fans are unbelievably clueless. One particular comment there accuses us of being inferior to them because we're only in the second division in England. Others called miller lazy, which is absolutely the one word you can't call him.
From a league which is genuinely glorified pub football, where the best players they have are virtually retired, its pretty rich. Excluding a few star names like Donovan and obviously Thierry Henry, league 2 comparison at best.

I think "Transfer not met with universal approval" sums it up, but to be fair, the CCMB was pretty similar when we heard the news he was coming to us.
"Ultimately disappointed" would sum up my view of Kenny's season with us.

Yes, that was clearly a clever play on words that was one hundred percent intentional. By no means was it me forgetting Vancouver is in Canada.
Regardless, it feels like revenge considering they think Cardiff is in England...

Some classic comments on that thread that sound familiar……
“I don't think our Scottish coach needs to bring in a load of Scottish players, not impressed. This team needs some flair.”
“This forum badly needs an ignore feature.”
“Here's the thing with being an armchair manager ... you never have to do anything other than complain”
“I think of myself as a relatively educated soccer fan and have never heard of this guy.”
“Many Cardiff fans have no clue about football and are utter tools.”

'Good point. Much more of a crapshoot'.... Americans are also woefully grammatically deficient, when talking about Kenny it should be 'Good point. Much more of a crap shot'...

What a load of idiots.
Liverpool and Villa often play there B team against MLS first teams on their tours and win quite easily. Our first team is stronger than those B teams and I'd say about 6 teams in the Championship could hold their own in the Premiership.
MLS teams are basically league one teams with 1 or two star players. No different to if we were in league one and got Henry. The only reason players go there is money and an easy life. Beckham wouldn't cope in the Championship at all and he's done outstanding stuff in the MLS.
The funniest thing is a lot of Whitecaps fans regard DeMerit as a star player yet he was at Watford and not a stand out player at all. He wasn't even one of the best defenders in the league. He was average.
Kenny Miller will easily walk into that side as their best player.
They quite possibly have the most deluded fans I've ever come across. The only side that could cope at a high Championship level are LA Galaxy, the league winners and thats because they've got Buddle, Donovan, Juninho and Robbie Keane.
In 20 years time the MLS will be better by a stretch. Better academies and an influx of south American players, the drafting system and training system, advertising money, good players choosing to stay at home in the MLS and prove themselves rather than moving to bottom prem teams or championship teams and the coaching setup.
Its bottom championship - top of league one level imo. In 20 years time it'll be between prem level and championship level. Could even be stronger if it booms.

In still not convinced by MLS' long term future. I think saying it is League 1 quality is kid too, personally.
Every year since its creation, a maximum of three teams have ever made a profit. The others are making big losses. It's one of the least popular sports in America and the big name signings only marginally improved that. We still have the critiscism, compared to high scoring games like American football, baseball, etc, they find soccer boring. They have started showing English premiership games live now, but from what I have heard viewing figures are still very low.
Until the game over there starts regularly making large amounts of money, it won't grow. If it doesn't grow, it won't attract big names. Without big names, it's doomed
to stay mediocre.
I'm not saying American fans are fickle, but how do you convince the millions of people that don't like the sport because they're lucky to see one or two goals a match, when you can go to any other sport and easily see ten plus?

Eddie Johnson
2 in 30 at Cardiff, 1 in 15 games.
8 in 17 for Seattle, 1 in 2 remainder 1 game.
Yes they most certainly play in a league equal the championship.
Definitely League One/League Two standard. I think Vancouver may have more deluded fans than our friends down west.
