One of my followers on Twitter just retweeted a rumour that Cardiff have made a £1.8m bid for Chris Burke.
If this is true I would very happy with this kind of signing as it was exactly what we missed last season, someone to hug to touchline and cause trouble down the wing.
What does everyone else think of it?

Hmmm, not sure about this one. He definitely had a good season with Brum last year but he was gash for us in the latter part of the previous campaign.
I'm going to sit uncomfortably on this wobbly fence on this one...

That is true however I blame that on the incompetence of Jones (not very hands on with his players/training) As you say, last season he was excellent. Given the right direction, Burkey can come into his own.
I believe Malky would be able to get a lot out of him & I'm sure most city fans would welcome him back!
On saying that, I highly doubt this is true.

If Bellamy goes to QPR we still need a winger and Burke would be a nice fit in my opinion. For 1.5 million he would be very cheap and he was top in assists last season so he's definetely worth a second chance in my opinion.
But if Bellamy does sign, Burke will probably find himself on the bench a lot, and I don't think he'd want that.

PS - can we have Wilfried Zaha from Palace instead please?

I am with Rhys a bit on this one, with the fact that I don't think it is true either. It's only come from one of those rumour accounts on Twitter which makes it even less believeable but always interesting to see what people make of it.
If by chance it is, I'll be quite happy personally as I think Malky will get the best out of him unlike Jones. Only problem is, it doesn't help Burke 'move closer home' after his move to Birmingham did get him a littler bit closer

Burke was voted best player by Birmingham fans last year.
No chance of him coming back though, its not the way Malky is going to set up. Also wont need him if we get Bellamy. Bellamy may go left now and then or even Whitts to cross in and Kim Bo can play on the right as well as an attacking midfielder. Burke would most likely be on the bench if he came back.

Here's the latest on that Bellamy-QPR rumour. It is exactly that.

Thank goodness for that - it's put to bed that rumour then.

I want Alan Carvalho
I'd like to have Burke back, always thought he added a nice attacking dimension to our play and was sad to see him go. We certainly lacked bite on the wing after he went.

Another smoke screen which deflects from whom we are actually after.

When he played well, he was incredible to watch, loved him
When he had a bad game, the whole team suffered because we heavily relied on him for leading our attacking movement. How would he fit into the team now anyway?
