I'll kick this off - I think this judgement sends at best a mixed message to kids/society and at worst legitimises both the insidious and overt racism which is prevalent in our country. It isn't banter - it's nasty and race orientated abuse.

I agree, as the video clip, pixelated or not, seemed pretty damning to me. Not quite OJ Simpson, but I'd like to see JT ostracised similarly as a nasty, overpaid yob, who has got away with it yet again. Strangely, he is still a hero to many people who should know better

It may be 'correct' in the eyes of the law and who am I to oppose that? Two years ago when I was coaching a U14 football team I had to make an issue of one boy calling another a f:::::: P:k: c:::. Guess what I heard? It's kids, they don't mean it, let it go, oh for f**k's sake it's football. I saw the reaction on the victim's face... It's not acceptable - ever.
